02WattMatters Solar

Only as good as the roof under it.

Most solar companies bolt panels onto whatever roof is already there. That works until the roof needs replacing, and then you pay again to take the array down and put it back up.

WattMatters is the solar division of Roxaco, so we come at it as roofers first. We plan the panels and the roof as one project, on a roof built to hold the system for its full life.

/Why plan solar with your roofer

Roof and solar, one project

Doing both together saves money, protects the array, and keeps one team accountable.

  • 01

    Roof and panels, planned together

We look at the roof first. If it needs work, we handle it before the array goes up, so you are not paying to remove and reinstall panels in a few years.

  • 02

One team, one point of contact

The same crew that knows your roof handles the mounting and flashing, so there is no finger-pointing between a roofer and a separate solar company if a question comes up.

  • 03

    Built to protect your investment

Panels are a long-term investment. Setting them on a roof with life left in it keeps that investment working instead of fighting a tired roof underneath.

  • 04

    Cleaner energy, less waste

Doing the roof and solar in one coordinated project means fewer trips, fewer tear-downs, and less material sent to the landfill down the road.

/The roof-first rule

Roof first, then solar.

If your roof has years left, great, we mount the panels and leave it stronger. If it does not, we handle the roof first so you never pay to remove and reinstall a system you just put up.

/FAQ

Solar
questions,
answered.

01Should I replace my roof before adding solar?

If your roof is near the end of its life, yes. Panels can last decades, so putting them on a worn roof usually means paying to remove and reinstall them later. We check the roof first and give you an honest answer.

02Do you handle the roof and the solar, or just one?

Both. WattMatters is our solar division, so the same team that knows roofing plans the array around a roof built to hold it, with one point of contact from start to finish.

03Where do you install solar?

We serve Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island from our base in Milford, MA, the same footprint as our roofing work.
